A class from start to finish
Every class has two parts: footwork and regional dance. They alternate through the week, and on Saturday the older levels rehearse together.
A class begins with a greeting in a circle and a warm-up with claps. Footwork comes next, practiced slowly and then with the music, and the class ends with a whole dance or a piece of one. Groups of ages 4 to 6 last 45 minutes, and the others an hour to an hour and a half.

A floor for footwork
The platform studio has a wooden floor made for footwork, and the entrance is level, with doors wide enough for a wheelchair.
Telling us what helps
Tell the teacher, in person or on WhatsApp, what would help your dancer. We ask privately, never on the website form.
Sample details.
Which class is my child's?
My daughter is turning 4. Where do we start?
Semillas. Dancers aged 4 to 6 dance together, and a grown-up of the family waits in the family room during class.
My son is 10 and has never danced folklorico.
He joins Juvenil, and the teacher teaches the basic steps in the first weeks. Everyone starts at the beginning, whatever their age.
Are the classes taught in Spanish?
Yes. Every teacher also speaks English, and we answer you in whichever language you prefer.
We aren't sure which class. Can we talk first?
Of course. Message us on WhatsApp or call the academy, or book a trial class and tell the teacher at the door what you hope for.
